Tiny Challenges
A silly 30-second dare. The room judges.
Tiny Challenges is a party game of small, silly dares. Each round one player gets a challenge card that everyone can read, such as 'Balance a spoon on your nose' or 'Do your best impression of a news anchor'. They tap Go and have thirty seconds to pull it off while the room watches. When the clock ends, everyone else votes on whether they made it. It is about being a good sport, not being good at it, and the funniest failures are often the best moments of the night.
Objective
One player is on the spot each round: they get a small challenge and thirty seconds to pull it off. Everyone else judges whether they made it.
How to play
- The player on the spot sees a challenge card. Everyone can read it.
- They tap Go and have thirty seconds to do it. Tap Done to finish early.
- When the clock ends, everyone else votes: Made it or Nope. Votes are secret until the reveal.
- A tie goes to the player on the spot. Then the spotlight moves to the next player.
Scoring
Made it: +2 for the player on the spot. Judges who voted with the final result get +1 each.
Example round
- The card for Sam reads: 'Hum the theme tune of a famous film until someone guesses it'. Everyone sees it and Sam taps Go.
- A thirty-second ring starts. Sam hums, the room shouts guesses, and Sam taps Done early once someone gets it right.
- Everyone else votes Made it or Nope. Five of six say Made it, so Sam scores 2 points and the five judges who voted with the room get 1 point each.
Strategy tips
- Commit fully. A half-hearted attempt is harder to vote for than a loud, ridiculous one that clearly tried.
- Read the whole card before you tap Go, then plan your first move so you do not waste the first five seconds.
- If you finish before the clock, tap Done. It keeps the game moving and the room remembers the fast ones.
- As a judge, vote on the challenge as written. Do not punish a player for being nervous or reward them for being popular.
- Keep challenges safe, indoors and kind. If a card does not suit the room, the host can swap the topic from the tools menu.
Best with
Best with 3 to 8 players who know each other a little, though two can play too. Everyone uses their own phone, so the game suits living rooms, office socials and video calls. Rounds are short, about a minute and a half, which makes it easy to fit into a longer evening or to play on its own while you wait for the food.
Variations
- Type your own challenge as the host to tailor the game to your group, your venue or an in-joke.
- Play it as a warm-up before a heavier game to get a new group laughing.
FAQ
How long does each challenge last?
Thirty seconds once you tap Go. You can tap Done to finish early if you are sure you have pulled it off.
Do I need props?
Challenges are designed to need nothing, or only something you can find in the room. If a card does not work for you, ask the host to change the topic.
How are points scored?
If the room says you made it, you score 2 points. Each judge whose vote matched the final result scores 1 point. A tie goes to the player on the spot.
